Tourists are pretty sparse in Bolivia, especially in the part where I live. While surrounding countries like Argentina and Brazil are popular tourist destinations, Bolivia is lacking in both wealth and beaches. The more adventurous backpackers do tend to come through, but they're more likely to be on the western side of the country. And even they have become fewer and fewer now that all Americans need a visa to enter the country.
Still, I recently discovered a quaint little shopping area aimed at tourists.
