As promised, I have another photo of Bolivian food today.
Huevitos de Codorniz are tiny, speckled quail eggs. They're about a third of the size of normal eggs.
I've eaten these a few times with Mauricio. We always hard boil them and just enjoy them plain. They're really pretty similar to normal eggs, although a bit more interesting looking on the outside!
I have also had cooked quail in Bolivia, but only in restaurants and I don't have any photos. It's extremely flavorful and delicious! We usually eat 3 or 4 per person because they're small. I think they're somewhat similar to Cornish game hens.
