Urban Park

The Bolivian government is known for being corrupt, so sometimes they have to go out of their way to do something that makes the people happy. The Santa Cruz city government recently created the Parque Urbano – Urban Park. It is a huge park that has rides for kids, vendors, an amphitheatre, and much more. Last night, Mauricio and I went to see the lit water display.

The park has a large pool of water with fountains and lights in the middle. Hundreds of people congregate each night to watch the display of water and lights set to music.

It was very difficult to take photos, with it being night and all, but I did my best.

The above effect was especially neat. It looked like both fire and water at the same time.

I also took a short video of the display which includes the music.

I was impressed with the park and thought the water display was beautiful. It looks like the Santa Cruz government did a good job of making its citizens happy for awhile.
